With the end of 2022 comes the close of some beloved series. Some closed with tied-up storylines, while others left off on cliffhangers. I am sad to see some of them go. On the other hand, a few shows have been around for a long time and will leave a hole in our hearts. Let’s see what ones bid adieu to us in 2022.

The Walking Dead debuted on Halloween in 2010 and lasted 11 seasons. It has spawned several spin-offs, such as Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: The World Beyond. There are at least two more spin-off shows coming out, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Dead City. Plus, there are rumors of a spin-off for Rick and Michonne. There is a trilogy of movies in the works.

Netflix’s Warrior Nun lasted two seasons, but there were not enough viewers to justify the cost of making the show. Warrior Nun was about a woman given divine powers, and she becomes a fighting nun to kill demons while she is in the service of the church.

CW’s Legacies is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals lasted for four seasons. Some form of The Vampire Diaries has been on the CW for 13 years.

Arthur, the long-running kids’ show, lasted for an outstanding 25 seasons. The show debuted in 1996, and I think my kids watched it as well as Barney and, unfortunately, the Teletubbies.

A Discovery Of Witches lasted three seasons. I still need to read the books, which I think is a trilogy, not a series. If I read them, I will review them here. The story is about a vampire who falls in love with a powerful witch.

Disney’s Amphibia lasted three seasons. Anne and her friends’ adventures after being transported to the world of Amphibia.

I know it is a long list. So many shows ended in 2022. Of course, more will end this year, too, such as The Flash on the CW. Were any of these shows ones you watched? Did any of them surprise you? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
