The season four finale of Riverdale had a crazy ending. If you don’t know what happened or need to catch up read Riverdale Chapter Seventy-Six: “Killing Mr.Honey” Review. Archie trained endlessly after he viewed the tape of the costumed actors copying his murder. Whenever Archie is angry, he beats the living hell out of his punching bag, but it’s not enough this time. After being told that he wouldn’t graduate with his friends, losing Veronica, and being harassed by a new murder, he has lost all hope for himself. Hiram even took it upon himself to attack Archie for kissing Betty. He can never get a break because someone is always kicking him when he’s down. Hopefully, Archie will focus more on developing himself. Soon his friends will go off to college and he will be alone. This isn’t the time for him to get into another romantic relationship. It seems like Betty and Archie have always been endgame, but Archie has shown that he can’t balance his own life and a romantic relationship. For once, let Archie be single.

The Lodge Family Business

The Malone’s didn’t learn from their last beating because they came back for Veronica. Luckily, Edmosa was carrying a loaded gun to protect her sister. The enemies that Hiram made over the years are coming to collect their debt. Hiram’s medical conditions have slowed him down, but not enough to make him give up his lifestyle. Veronica and Edmosa decided it was time to take over the business. I didn’t understand why she thought this would be a good idea considering the fact that she has made her own enemies as well in her business ventures. One of those being her own father. Veronica has shown that she can take care of herself, I’m curious as to why she feels the need to take on her father’s business in her senior year of high school.

Rating: 3/5

I rated Riverdale Chapter Seventy-Eight “The Preppy Murders” 3 out of five stars because I felt like this episode was rushed. In Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1: In Memoriam Review the season started off at an appropriate pace leading up to a great finale. I wasn’t expecting Jughead and Betty to expose Charles as a murder so quickly. In previous episodes, I noticed that Betty and Jughead have obstacles to overcome before they solve them. I also think that Veronica’s storyline is very stale. I’m over the beef that she continues to reignite with her father, I’m over here trying to be a businesswoman, and I’m over the Lodge family. There is no character evolution with Veronica, which makes it boring to watch. Hopefully, the kiss between Archie and Betty will stir things up for these characters. I’m certain that Jughead will be heartbroken, but I feel like Betty will try to be with Archie. Now is not the time for it.
