This episode title is one of those things that reminds you that Younger shares a creator with Sex & The City, which was way less PG. Before you watch it it’s sort of like why is that the title but THEN you watch it & Enzo does a thing and you’re like OH it all makes sense now.
Dianna & Enzo are living their best lives and honestly I am here for it! Ms. Trout deserves all of the amazingness in the world and so far she’s getting it. No pun intended. As Enzo climaxes during one of their romps (I hated this sentence but I don’t know how else to phrase it I’m so sorry), he makes a noise that can only be described as if a lighthouse & a goose had a baby. I’m not one to shame people for their O faces or their O sounds, it was just a surprise to everyone, & while it felt totally random in the moment it actually connects to…
Lauren! She gets Glamour Mag to give her the Maverick award at their WOTY ceremonies, & she wants to meet with Diana to get Empirical to buy a table and also to convince her that she needs a publicist. They meet up for drinks and when Enzo comes to pick Dianna up, she recognizes him from somewhere. Upon further googling, SHE KNOWS HIM FROM THE FIRST PORN SHE EVER WATCHED!!!!

She tells Dianna & they bond over it & Dianna loves it so honestly this plot point is hilarious and harmless, i.e. the best kind of plot point.
Liza & Charles are still in their little bubble, except they try to take the bubble to a restaurant &, of course, run into Redmond. They panic and tell him that Liza was dropping off a manuscript, but the only one she had was one that Kelsey had already passed on – but then Charles read it, liked it, & BOUGHT IT FOR MILLENNIAL, without talking to Kelsey. When Liza explains to her how Charles got that manuscript in the first place, it comes out that they’re seeing each other. Kelsey gets weirdly offended and overreacts (in my opinion) about Liza’s priorities, so she goes over to Charles’ office and straight up blackmails him.
She wants him to get the money together for Laura Benanti’s characters book, that is all about women looking out for themselves and only themselves. This book is dumb but it’s going to be huge so Charles pull the cash together and make an offer. He tells Kelsey this and immediately follows it up with something along the lines of “this is MY business and I will run it how I want to and my personal life is off limits!”

Liza also spends the whole episode trying to convince Kelsey that she’s never going to put Charles first, and that she wants Kelsey’s success as much as Kels does (to the contrary of what that Claws author is peddling). This culminates in a beautiful friendship moment where Liza straight up says “if you’re asking me to choose, I choose you!”
Liza also has a chat with Charles about his nonsense and he sort of apologizes, the bubble is still going strong and the shit has yet to hit the fan.
It’s beautiful and reminds me that Kelsey & Liza have the relationship I’m most invested in, also that women should support women, especially women with less opportunities than them, who might need a leg up. When we look out for ourselves we all lose, sisterhood, etc.
