Futurama is officially returning! During the show’s panel, creator Matt Groening, showrunner and head writer David X. Cohen, along with members of the cast and crew, shared an exciting preview of what’s ahead.
The trailer for Season 14 was unveiled, with the first two episodes set to premiere on August 3. While this will be the show’s final full season, the remaining episodes will roll out weekly.
Fans can expect another wild adventure featuring space pirates, lab-grown meat, elaborate scams, time travel, and the long-awaited return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love.
Matt Groening also revealed an exciting surprise: Futurama will feature a crossover episode with Disenchantment, the fantasy series he also created.
Looking ahead, the series will continue with three extended-length specials. The first, a Christmas-themed story, is scheduled to premiere in 2027, while details about the remaining two specials have not yet been announced.
As an added treat for fans, the cast performed a table read featuring a flashback to Fry’s hot dog eating contest against his rival, Rocky J.
