Welcome back to another week of awesome furry art. I would say this list is RUNE-end, but let’s not have any [spoilers], eh?

Before I come up with any more bad puns, let’s rise from the ashes like a phoenix, dive under the sea, and check out this week’s list:

7. Summoned Phoenix

Up first is this fantastic, fiery phoenix done by Danielle English. Inspired by one of the summons from Final Fantasy, this phoenix looks majestic, with a nice blend of oranges and reds. A few rainbow feathers as well, which adds to the magical quality of the creature. An all-around excellent take on a grand creature.

6. Japan Blade

Slashing into view next is this pretty cool Asian-themed commission by Refegi. I’m really liking the character design with this one, especially that cosmic-looking tail with the bright blues set against the dark blues. The sword looks equally as cool, and the angle gives a very nice, intense, in-your-face feeling to things.

5.Noisy Ghost Closet

Uh oh, looks like someone got themselves bumped off by a phantom! Silverfox gives us an appropriately spooky, yet somehow still cute, commission of a couple of would-be ghost hunters. What I really like about this piece is the lighting. And this really adds to that idea of a spooky ghost hunt…as well as drawing our eyes to Ghost Silver’s former body, complete with the ever-classic dead x eyes.

4. Serene Serpent

Settling down at the #4 spot is this lovely snake gal drawn by Fivel. Snakes are always an interesting character when it comes to anthros, as there’s many different ways they can be done. This one seems to be more or less your typical lizard-like anthro, but with things like a long tail and a really long neck and head that gives a serpentine impression. Also, the various feathers are a great touch, and I like how they’re colorful, but not too bright or vivid.

Don’t get too tied up with snakes, we’ve got the honorable mentions to check out:

A nice collection of honorable mentions right? Now, onto the top three, starting with:

3. Under the Sea

We’ve got a bit of a newcomer to kick off the top three this week, as Starswy is an artist I found that just recently made their Fur Affinity profile back in August. Though they’ve already impressed me with this gorgeous undersea rabbit-like lady. It’s such a fantastic take on an underwater realm, and it reminds me of the sort of fantastical pictures you’d see in a storybook of some kind. This piece is calm, serene, magical, and a great way to kick off the top three.

2. The Girls

Unfortunately, our top three gets RUNE-end by some Deltarune fan art – this time we’ve got the adorable coupe of the lizard-like Susie and the charming deer Noelle. Well, they aren’t an official couple in the game yet, but little Noelle has the biggest crush on Susie and it’s the most adorable thing to experience in-game. And leave it up to an artist like Kyander to really capture that adorable emotion of a young couple. Seriously, the expressions are top-notch in this one. For example, you’ve got well-done facial expressions, but also body language that really sells the emotion. I might need to keep Kyander’s name in mind if I ever want to commission my own romantic scene.

However, there is one piece that managed to out-RUNE this one, and that’s:

1. Deltarune

Dan Syron manages to take the #1 spot with this downright fantastic piece of Deltarune fanart. I was blown away the second I saw this drawing, and it’s not too hard to see why. Syron seemed to pull out all the stops on this one, with a great use of framing, posing, lighting, and even in-game references. For example, you’ve got the “Potassium!” banana in the background, and Berdly is sporting his “stretched” face. Honestly, this looks like something that should be the poster or cover for Chapter 2. It’s that good – and all the major players from Chapter 2 are here, even a certain [big shot]. But no spoilers – so it’s enough to intrigue but not ruin any surprises.

Congratulations and well done Dan Syron, your piece is the #1 pick for this week!

And that brings another week of awesome furry art to a close. Which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments, and I’ll see you all next week!
