Welcome back to another week of awesome furry art!
This week we’ve got arcades, magic, groovy waves, and even a neat cyborg rabbit. So let’s not waste any time and get right into things with the #7 pick:
7. The Arcade Collab
Kicking off this week’s list is a pretty cool mega-collab by U-Piter. Although, I think it’s a collab in terms of the characters used, and not really a bunch of artists collaborating together. Regardless, it’s still cool to see so many different characters pulled off in one picutre. It’s also neat to see each character, or pair of characters, playing a different kind of game. You’ve got pinball, air hockey, racing games, and more.
6. Monster Waves
Coming in at #6 is this cute pic full of far-out action! Dearpinkcloud brings us this pretty adorable piece inspired by Monster Hunter. I mean come on, who doesn’t like a bunch of cats surfing away with some hard-won fish? Pinkcloud has put some pretty good detail into this too, giving us a variety of cats, poses, and all-around cute fun.
5. Mystic Portal
Spawning into the #5 is this cool portal pic by Nastoya 14. It’s more of a simple picture compared to packed arcades and surfing cats, but it’s still a great piece. The portal looks really mesmerizing, and the heavy purple lights it gives off are nice. In addition, the character designs are pretty cool. The humanoid creature’s axes look totally wicked, and the creature emerging from the portal looks mysterious and menacing.
4. Sun and Moon
Up next is this surprisingly striking piece by Yacrical. I’ve seen pictures in full color and monochrome, but I’ve never seen one that mixes both. And in such a contrasting way. It’s mainly due to the main sketch being monochrome with the sun and moon being bright, solid colors set against an all-black background. It really sticks out and strikes the imagination. It brings to mind old mythological statues, and that’s always cool.
Don’t get too lost in the past, we’ve still got the honorable mentions to check out:
Some pretty colorful honorable mentions, right? Now, onto the top three, starting with:
3. The Blue Moon
Miluo kicks off the top three with this really spectacular shot of some kind of fantasy creature out in a field somewhere. This piece really has a nice, mystic quality to it – the creature looks like something out of myth and legend. Then there’s the tall stone towers that look like they’re drawing energy from the moon, presumably to summon the creature. Throw in some glowing, blue fantasy foliage, and you’ve got a nice kick of for this week’s top three.
2. Cyber Rabbit Punk
Coming at #2 is this really awesome looking cyberpunk rabbit by dArtagnyan. I mean take a look at that jacket – it’s pretty swag! The design looks all around great too, with a neat pink visor, a wicket red gun, and cool mechanical limbs. There’s also a lot of good colors used here too, with a lot of complementary and contrasting colors used.
And that brings us to the #1 pick of this week:
1. Senko Sage
How do you top cool cyborg gun-toting rabbits? With an epic spellcasting jackal complete with glowing magical tattoos! Coming in at the top is a piece by Caraid that was actually used as official artwork for Smite. This is an all around awesome piece, with a badass-looking spellcaster wrecking magical havoc on hapless onis with a magical spirit dragon. It’s a pretty epic piece and the #1 pick for this week. Congratulations and well-done Caraid!
Wow, with some really cool pieces like that, September is off to a rockin start! But did you like my list, or were there other epic magic-casting anthros I missed? Let me know in the description down below, and I’ll see you all next week!
