It’s now official, Black Lightning will join the rest of our DC TV heroes on the CW during this year’s annual cross-over “Crisis on Infinite Earth’s.” While fans have been speculating about a cross-over ever since Black Lightning premiered in January 2018, we can finally confirm that titular super-hero will at least make an appearance during the event.
A few weeks ago at San Diego Comic Con, the star of Black Lightning, Cress Williams hinted at the involvement saying “there has been some talk and that he wouldn’t be surprised if they showed up (during the event).” Saturday, Cress finally confirmed what we have been waiting to hear for two years with this tweet.
You asked for it…you got it!!! #blacklightning #crisisoninfiniteearths #getlit https://t.co/Kf6PHh2pcE

After dropping the tweet, the network later confirmed the news at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Sunday. Other than Black Lightning, it’s currently unknown if other heroes from the show such as Nafessa Williams’ Thunder and China Mcclain’s Lightning will join in on the event, but whatever the case, it will definitely be interesting to see how Black Lightning interacts with the stars from our other favorite shows. The dates of the cross-over event were finally released as well starting with Supergirl on Sunday, December 8th and ending with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Tuesday, January 14th. Spanning 5 hours, the event aims to do something truly epic which we have never seen on television before. The dates are as follows:

Batwoman – Monday, December 9, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)
