TGON Bakes: Dora The Explorer Cupcakes



350gr flour
250gr granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs
115gr butter softened
420 gr milk
54ml vegetable oil

115gr butter softened
145gr vegetable shortening
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
640gr powdered sugar
45ml milk
1 tube of icing colour (purple)
Edible Dora Decorations


How to bake

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C and prepare your cupcake tray.
2. Mix the dry ingredients in a small bowl.
3. Mix the wet ingredients in another bowl.
4. Slowly fold in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
5. Put a tablespoon and half of the mix into each cupcake slot in your cupcake tray.
6. Bake the cupcakes for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
7. Let the cupcakes cool before applying the icing.

1. Mix the shortening, vanilla, and butter until it is a fluffy consistency.
2. Add the sugar a little bit at a time with an electric or hand mixer. Do this for all the sugar.
3. Add in the milk and beat all ingredients until the icing is fluffy.
4. When it is a medium or slightly wet consistency, add in your icing colour.
5. Stir well and then top each cupcake with your frosting.
6. Add your Dora decorations to the cupcakes.
