*** This post contains spoilers for Season 2 of Krytpon ***
While our favorite DC TV shows are gearing up to their respective finales on the CW and the DC Universe, SYFY’s Krypton is getting ready for it’s sophomore season (premiering June 12th, 2019).
In the season finale last year ( you can read the review here ) Seg-El was sent to the Phantom Zone along with Braniac after tricking him during their final battle. A month later, General Zod now with complete control over Krypton, makes a passionate speech to new Krypton as Doomsday finally breaks free from his cage.
At Comic Con last summer we learned from the cast and producers that not only would Doomsday be a recurring villain on the show this season, but also the fan-favorite DC character Lobo would be making an appearance. A short teaser was also released during the event which you can find here.
In October, SYFY confirmed the casting of Emmett J. Scanlan as Lobo, “The Main Man,” and released the first promotional photo of the intergalactic bounty hunter.
Last week, DC dropped the latest trailer for the new season that gives us our first live look at Lobo, Braniac and Seg trapped in the Phantom Zone, Doomsday and the rise of Zod.
“Zod! Brainiac! Doomsday! Lobo! Seg-El’s enemies are closing in, and the future of his home planet of Krypton has been stolen. Join the fight to take it back when Krypton returns to SYFY on June 12”
For those looking to catch up on Season One, Krypton can be found on DC’s streaming service DC Universe.
