If anyone know what it’s like to be the underdog, it’s Harry. He has fought his way out of a corner more than once. So when the doodoo hit’s the fan, Harry is who you want in your corner fighting with you. Morgan knows this. So when he is found standing over a still warm corpse of Aleron LaFortier with a bloody knife in his hand, he goes to Harry for help.

He explains to Harry that he has no recollection of how he came to be in this situation. He does say though that he badly beat three wardens to escape custody. Morgan only has a few days to find out who really killed LaFortier because that is how long the spell cast by Tatiana will last that makes him untraceable by magic.

In the process of investigating Morgan’s case he unfortunately get Molly and Captain Luccio legally caught up in his hiding of Morgan when they find Morgan at Harry’s place. Harry suspects the White Court has something to do with the framing of Morgan. Captain Luccio goes with Harry to confront Lara only to find that his brother Thomas is being held to exchange him for Morgan.

What the hell is going on? Can Harry save Thomas and Morgan? Who is the real killer? Who will stand with Harry against the traitor of the White Counsel? Read the book and tell me your thoughts in the comments below. Till next week…

I am a wife, mother, writer and nerd. My dad cultivated my love of sci-fi as a child and I haven’t looked back since. I love myth and magic. I am an avid reader and love TV and movies. I love the movies Willow and Legend and the Star Trek ones both old and new. Laurell K. Hamilton, who writes the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series, and Jim Butcher, who writes the Harry Dresden series, are probably my top two favorite authors. I love learning and writing about mythology and there is so much out there to learn, see and imagine. Come fly away with me.
