Hey guys! Welcome back to another TGON plays review! This week I played Murdered: Soul suspect, and let me just say…Hot DAMN I loved this game so much. Be warned lovely readers, I wanted you guys to get the full grasp of what this game is like, and so I wrote this review a tad bit differently. I hope you can bear with me and enjoy it!
My name is Ronan O’Connor and I’m a detective for the Salem, Massachusetts Police Department. A few years ago, my wife, Julia, was murdered in cold blood, and since then I’ve thrown myself into my work. Tonight, while hunting down a serial killer named “The Bell Killer,” I too, was murdered. However, Unlike my wife’s, my soul can’t cross over and enter the light until I figure out who The Bell Killer is and why they’ve been mercilessly slaughtering young girls all over Salem. Using the detective skills I learned in life that were amplified in death, I’ll work to resolve not only my murder, but the deaths of the spirits around me, so that they can cross over and be at peace. I hope I’m successful in the capture of the Bell Killer…there are literal demons on the other side who would give anything to stop me and prevent me from reuniting with Julia.
So let’s be honest here, that synopsis alone makes this game sound amazing, but the fact that its set in Salem, a place known for its dark history, is just the icing on the cake. You really do have to take on Demons in this game, whose SOLE purpose (+10 points to your Hogwarts house if you catch the pun.) is to drag you to the underworld. Now, I’m a complete glutton for a good story and this game offers something unique and original that I’ve never seen before. Go check it out and decide for yourselves! Let me know what you all think of it!
Thanks for reading! -Charlie
