It is challenging to find couch coop games where the second player is helpful. Sackboy: A Big Adventure did a great job with this; however, there are only so many times one can replay a game. Therefore, I am always on the lookout for something new. So, when I heard about Nobody Saves the World, I was excited to give it a whirl.

The Story
Nobody Saves the World is an action RPG that starts with players waking up as Nobody. Nobody is an androgynous humanoid who owns no pants. After some interrogation, Nobody finds a magic wand that helps them shape-shift into a wide variety of Forms. Then, Nobody heads forth on a quest for answers, diving into dungeons and assisting citizens with quests. Along with attempting to figure out who Nobody is, the Calamity is an ever-looming presence. So, are you ready to help Nobody save the world?
Thoughts
This is not an exaggeration when I say my partner and I have not put this game down. Any moment spent not working or sleeping is spent on this game. Drinkbox Studios, the developer, has made a gem pure and simple. The game’s graphics are vibrant and inviting, while the music gets us in the zone. These quests and dialogue have us laughing until our sides hurt. Honestly, there is nothing that I can point to as a downside.
Additionally, the dungeons are procedurally generated, which keeps us on our toes. Plus, all of the Forms are adorable. Of course, the Ghost and Bodybuilder are our go-to characters, but it is always exciting to try a new one! Overall, Nobody Saves the World is a lovely game, and I highly recommend it.
Odds and Ends
If you want to start saving the world, you have a few options. This title is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Windows Store, and Steam. Playing with a friend is also possible online and via local coop. In the end, this is one of my favorite coop games yet.
