Discovery Network launched a new app, Discovery+ Monday, January 4th, with a premier of their Ghost Adventures special at the Cecil Hotel. Discovery Plus will host exclusive episodes of fan favorite shows, hold a backlog of all episodes of popular shows, as well as new and original series.
It also hosts programming from channels such as HGTV, TRVL Channel, Discovery, History, TLC, and more! Discovery+ can be purchased in two tiers; $4.99 with ads, or $6.99 for a subscription without ads. Both come with a 7 day free trial to test out the subscription prior to commitment.
Among Discovery Plus originals are American Detective, featuring Lieutenant Joe Kenda, star of the popular ID show, Homicide Hunter. Paranormal fans have the original series Ghost Adventures: Top 10, which features top ten moments from the show, voted on by the fans. Fans of the show can also watch the entire backlog of Ghost Adventures episodes. The app also features original cooking shows from Food Network stars like Ted Allen and Giada de Laurentiis.
