We all know He-Man is the strongest man in the universe. He gets his awesome power from Castle Greyskull. He defends all of Eternia from the evil Skeletor and protects Castle Greyskull and it’s secrets. Plus he has a really cool cat, Cringer/Battle Cat.
In this new imaging of He-Man with Kevin Smith, the focus will be on resolving the stories of the other characters. This series is said to pick up where it left off decades ago. To date, there is no mention of Adam’s twin sister Adora. I don’t know if the story will be complete without her. To be fair when He-Man first came out it was all about him and Eternia. It wasn’t until later that She-Ra was grafted in.

Slated to play He-Man is Chris Wood. Diedrich Bader is playing Trap Jaw. Lena Heady is Evil-Lyn and Sarah Michelle Geller is Teela. Orko made it in and he is being played by Griffin Newman. Henry Rollins is playing Tri-Klops and Alicia Silverstone is Queen Marlena. Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame and the voice behind the Joker in his animated forms is playing Skeletor. There are now character that I have never heard of such as He-Ro played by Phil LaMarr, Roboto played by Justin Long, Stinkor played by Jason Mews and Ileena played by Harley Quinn Smith. Yes, that is Kevin Smith’s daughter.
It will be interesting to see how the new characters will be presented. At first I was trying to figure out why there are new characters but I suppose you need to add new ones to finish stories. My husband is of the mind that even though he loves Kevin Smith, he needs not to mess with He-Man. I, on the other hand, am curious.
