Okay, so it’s more of a count up, but details, details. Since the announcement was made that Supernatural’s 15th season will be its last, I find myself feeling nostalgic. So, for the next several weeks I’ll be posting and writing about the five (in my opinion) best episodes of each season. This is by no means a definitive list, nor is it in any particular order, but I will fight anyone who tries to argue that these are not the best of a very long, very beautifully painful show.
The show is on hiatus for the holidays, so I thought I’d finish up the lists.
Here are the Top Five Episodes of Season 13:
Tombstone
The stark contrast in Dean’s mental health from Advanced Thanatology and Tombstone is so profound that it’s almost like watching two different (great) shows. The casue of that change? Castiel himself returning from the dead.
Scoobynatural
I mean… Of course it’s on the list.
Advanced Thanatology
Look, I know I say this a lot… but Jensen Ackles is a goddamn gift. The utter hopelessness and suicidal ideation makes this an incredibly tense, and heart-wrenching episode.
Wayward Sisters
Robbed. We were all robbed.
Breakdown
I don’t know why, but this episode is a bit terrifying to me. Not only do we have Sam on the literal auction/chopping block, but we have to watch Donna’s heart break again.
