Super Soft Sugar Cookies
200 gr sugar
115 gr softened butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
77 gr sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
280 gr flour

Vanilla buttercream frosting
115 gr butter
480 gr powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
30 ml milk
20 drops of blue food colouring.

Chocolate rocks
Swedish fish/ blue shark gummy candies
Dory fish candy
1 crushed graham cracker

How to bake

Super Soft Sugar Cookies

  1. Cream together the sugar and butter.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the sour cream, salt and soda.
  4. Add the flour and the sour cream to the butter mixture and beat it until it is smooth.
  5. Chill the dough for several hours.
  6. Roll and cut out cookies with a round shaped cutters.
  7. Bake the cookies at 375°F/ 190°C for 10 minutes.

Vanilla Buttercream Frosting

  1. Whisk the butter with an electric mixer for one minute until it is smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, small bits at a time.
  3. Add in the vanilla and milk.
  4. Mix everything until it is smooth before adding the food colouring.


  1. Spread the frosting on the cooled cookies.
  2. Arrange a few chocolate rocks near the bottom of each cookie.
  3. Sprinkle a crushed graham cracker over and around the rocks, trying to stick to the bottom of the cookie.
  4. Place a shark gummy and/or Swedish fish on each cookie, as well as a Dory fish candy and a few other tiny fishy candies.
