You read that right nerds! We’re heading back to Silicon Valley Comic-Con, or SVCC, in San Jose, California this April 2018!  We’re going to show you all the latest and greatest things that they’ll have to offer this coming year!  “But Charlie, our absolute favorite ginger, what exactly IS SVCC?” Well allow me to tell you, imaginary inquirer with great taste in red-heads. Silicon Valley Comic Con (SVCC) is one of the BEST Comic-Cons to date. I’m actually making my first trip out to California just for SVCC! This convention was founded in 2016 by Steve Wozniak who actually hosts the event himself. It is already absolutely booming with amazing names and people! This year’s theme is “What Does It Mean To Be Human?” which in turn allows everyone at SVCC, including CEO Trip Hunter, to explore the questions that are on all our minds. Such topics as the true expanse of the universe, AI and robotics, and new technology. We even get new bits of sci-fi and pop culture, like the latest Star Trek series, and the science behind The Walking Dead!

So with that in mind, let’s dive into who’s going to be attending this shindig so far and my thoughts:

Stan Lee – Now, you may have heard of this particular guy, but if you haven’t, he only  created the entire Marvel Universe. He is the man behind all of the brilliant Marvel Comics, as well as the brilliant cameos surrounding the movies – he’s in every Marvel Film. Honestly, I just avidly adore him and I can’t believe he’s the guest of honor for the SVCC.

Sean Astin – This guy has done basically everything on the map. From Rudy, to The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, to Stranger Things, and even as one of the main stars of the original IT horror film, Sean Astin is a huge house-hold name, and beloved by many.

Matthew Lewis – This hunk-a-burnin’-love was originally the adorable butterball Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter series, and he has grown into one hell of a…fine young man. (My mom reads these, sorry ladies.)  Outside of his looks and general awesomeness, he’s one of my favorite characters from the Wizarding World!

Jewel Staite – Serenity. Firefly. Stargate: Atlantis. I really shouldn’t have to say more, but who am I kidding, I’m totally going to. Jewel Staite is an absolute gem of a woman, (10 points to Slytherin if you spot the pun.) and EVERYONE should be excited about her!

Now those are just a PART of who’s coming to the comic-con, there are plenty of amazing comic-book authors and vendors, but if I named every person showing up, this article would be too insanely long. (Trust me. If I could, I would.) But, that doesn’t mean you can’t check out all the artists, authors, and actors showing up to the event right here!

Now, if you have questions like “How do I acquire an autograph? Can I bring my own stuff to be signed? How do I go about potentially marrying any of these guests?” You can check out the SVCC FAQ, but be warned, they actually can’t help you with that last question. I just have some internalized adoration for many celebrities. On top of that, if you’re absolutely set on going because you want to see me there and you’re ready to buy a ticket, you can get all set up right here!

The Silicon Valley Comic Con itself is scheduled as follows, (per the SVCC FAQ Page, if you were too lazy to click on it):
