As a TV junkie, fall is my absolute favorite season. Fall is prime time for TV, with the return of our favorites and the addition of some exciting new shows!

Seasonal Classics:
Fall means cooler weather, warm drinks, and horror/thriller television. The Walking Dead and American Horror Story are both coming back this season with terrifying and gore-filled seasons. You can also add Stranger Things to this mix, as last year the show premiered in summer, but this year they’re putting out the new season just in time for Halloween. If you’re into a more psychological type of horror, you’re in luck as well — the fourth season of Black Mirror was announced last week!

Super Shows:
There will be no shortage of superhero shows this season! The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl all have new seasons coming this October. There will also be 3 new comic adaptations this year — DC’s Black Lightning (CW), Marvel’s Inhumans (ABC), and Marvel’s Runaways (Netflix).

Shondaland Returns:
Grab your tissues because ABC’s hit Thursday night lineup is returning this season with Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, and the FINAL SEASON of Scandal.

New-You-TGIT

New Shows:
Don’t count the newbies out! Last year NBC scored big with This Is Us, and you can expect it to come back with even more heartbreaking twists. This year there’s a couple shows that stand out, like NBC’s new high school theatre dramedy Rise, ABC’s new medical drama The Good Doctor, CBS’ Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon, and the new NBC comedy A.P. Bio.

Reboots:
And of course, there will be 2 fantastic reboots coming to this TV this season — Star Trek: Discovery and Will & Grace.
