If you missed my season 11 review, you can find it here.
Unfortunately, this is the final season. It’s had a good run and I am so happy my sister-in-law turned me on to it. There were people I missed in the season and I wish Tanis got more air time but the season was good. Here, let’s get into it.
Live At MoDean’s
The episode starts with my favorite kind of intro to Letterkenny: the alphabet poem. I absolutely love those. Then the day starts and Katy comes home from Mexico. That night everyone goes to MoDean’s for a comedy show. Apparently, Reilly and Jonesy want to smash their billet sisters who are the featured comics. Big surprise, right? There is an open mike night coming and Dary thinks he would be good at it and Wayne, Katy, and Squirelly Dan disagree. They point out his last time on stage and tell him he isn’t cool and hurting his feelings. Dary takes his turn and he actually does a great job, one person, Mick, especially liked him. When Dary’s feelings are hurt further, he and Mick strike up a friendship. Rosie and Katy talk a little about wishing they lived elsewhere.
Sun Darts
McMurray starts telling his tall tales about his vacations. This one he is squaring off with a big dude. When Wayne starts telling his tall tale just to have fun with McMurray. McMurray falls for it, hook, line, and sinker. Later, Dickens stops by the produce stand to tell Wayne, Katy, Dary, and Dan about his plan to venture into country music and to ask for their support. Dary is noticeably absent, though. He does meet Mick’s sister, Harley when he is at the bar and not Wayne’s. He goes and hangs out with them. They end up at the Degen hang spot. Hicks (like Wayne and Dary) and Degens don’t mix and it shows. Actually, no one likes Degens, not even the Skids. However, Mick and Harley stick up for Day and tell the naysayers to piss off. Speaking of the Skids, Stewart and Roald help Dickens come up with a song and music video. I will say, the song and video are pretty good.
I’m A Degen
Squirrelly Dan is wearing a Mennonite hat and when Dary comments on it, Dan says he respects their way of life. Stewart and Roald came up with the idea to have an after-hours club because they have done everything else. Wayne finds out that Dary hung out with Degen, and he tells Dary to go back and hang out with them. Katy meets with the photographer, Lily, sent to take pictures of the farm and they bond over missing Mexico. Rosie is talking about being happy on Vancouver Island, not in Letterkenny. Wayne is happy where he is. The leader of the Degens makes Dary say he is a Degen to keep hanging with Mick and Harley and he makes Dary say it on camera.
Snooters
The opening of this episode is handled by Dary this time and he helps Mick swindle the guy that has been hassling him. Katy and Lily say they are moving to Mexico. Lily has taken a liking to Wayne and is disappointed that Wayne has a girlfriend. Jonesy and Reilly are bummed that Katy is moving to Mexico. When they tell Stewart and Roald, they are sad too. They want to entice Katy to stay and Tanis advises them to make her feel special. Dan is at the produce stand dressed like Noah Dyck. Dary is hanging out with Mick and Harley and since it’s Saturday night there is a game, Run n’ Gun, that they play. Wayne checks on Dary.
Stuck
Coach is his charming self, just blackout drunk while “helping” Wayne talk to Alexander about asking Gail out. Wayne wants help getting Dary out of the Degen’s claws and McMurray emphatically says no. Then Katy tells Wayne that she’s flirting with the idea of moving to Mexico, after which Dan asks Wayne if he ever wonders if he’s in the right place. Wayne says no. Snooters is shut down so Stewart and Roald are figuring out their next move. Wayne, Mick, and Dary end up at the gas station at the same time and Wayne extends his hand to Dary. For whatever reason Mick can’t stand that. Wayne tries asking McMurray again but he says no. It’s Saturday again though, Wayne’s going in.
Over And Out
I was so mad when this episode started. I thought I wasn’t going to see the fight like with Katy and Deirk. Don’t worry, you see it. Roald wants to reboot Fartbook, but Glen has other ideas. Stewart vehemently says no, he proposes another rave at the Ag Hall. Wayne, Katy, Dan, and Dary say yeah. They get an invite to said rave that they decline but that doesn’t stop them, they spread the word.
Are you a fan of Letterkenny? Who is your favorite person on there? I think everyone has played their part to perfection so it’s hard to choose. I was going to say Tanis, but I think the number one spot is for Ron and Dax. I know that they are two people but you can’t have one without the other. I give Tanis my number two spot. What did you think of this season? Do you like where it left off? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
