If we look at my article history on TGON, there is one thing a person can glean without a shadow of a doubt. I am obsessed with farming sims. Growing up, I played hours of Harvest Moon, and as an adult, I have indulged in many more titles. I love to turn on my computer and get lost in daily tasks, petting virtual cows and growing pixelated plants. So, when I find a new farming sim, I feel compelled to share it with the world. Therefore, today, we will be discussing Dragon Shelter.

Dragon Shelter‘s Plot
Imagine a world where dragons and humans coexist in harmony. This was the world where Dragon Shelter existed. That is until humans went and messed it up, giving into their darker urges to use dragons for their gain. However, players can restore that relationship by befriending and caring for these creatures. Alongside your dragon pals, players can grow crops, gather resources, and reunite the people with their scaley friends. This title is the definition of wholesome, with friendships and love being central themes.

Thoughts on Dragon Shelter
I first learned of Dragon Shelter on Reddit and immediately went to its Steam page. The first element that excited me was the graphics. They are vibrant and make me feel like I am in a storybook. It is a beautiful world that I am excited to explore. I am also interested in seeing the animations in action. Watching these dragons move will genuinely be a heartwarming experience.
Additionally, while taking over Grandpa’s farm is not a unique trope to the genre, I think other elements make this title special. I appreciate that by bringing dragons back into the world, the townsfolk will get out of their funk. I would be overcome with joy if I met some of these dragons. Ultimately, I think this title is wholesome, and I am excited to see where time takes it.
Odds & Ends
Dragon Shelter does have a Steam page; however, there is no current release date. This game does have fantasy elements, which reminds me of another farming sim title. If you are interested in early access games, I recommend this Little Witch in the Woods article. Ultimately, I am excited to learn more about these farming sims in the future.
