We all know of Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, and others. They have saved the world or the city too many times to count in multiple alternate universes. But, have you ever wondered, with all they do, if they have a family, kids, and a home life? There are so many superheroes that I couldn’t possibly name everyone, and certainly not as well as they deserve. That being said, we are looking at some of the parents from DC. Let’s see who I found.

Black Lightning: Jefferson Pierce and Lynn Stewart have two daughters, Jennifer Pierce, aka Lightning, and Anissa Pierce, aka Thunder. Both girls inherited powers from their dad. Anissa is married to Grace Choi and is a part-time teacher at Garfield High, where she attended high school. She is also a vigilante that works with her dad. Jennifer is the younger sister. She also graduated from Garfield High. Her powers are very much like her father’s, and she has sometimes been called Baby Lightning. She also does the vigilante gig with her dad’s team.

Batman: Batman is a three-for-one. The man wasn’t called a playboy for nothing. Bruce Wayne had a couple of kids. One he had with Talia al Ghul, Damian Wayne, aka Robin. No, he was not the only Robin. A number of young men took the mantle of Robin. Damian happened to be one of them. Damian was, of course, brought up for a time in the League of Assasins. By the time he went to live with Bruce, he was an accomplished fighter. Living with Bruce that was further solidified. With Selena Kyle, he had Helena Wayne, aka Huntress. Helena Wayne’s Huntress is different than Helena Bertinelli’s Huntress. However, even that is kind of woven together. On Earth-2, Apokolips attacks, and Bruce and Selena are killed. Helena and Supergirl go into the Boom Tube. They end up on Earth-0, and Helena Wayne takes the identity of Helena Bertinelli and still gets to have an “aka” of Huntress. Kara becomes Karen Starr/Power Girl.

Superman: Clark Kent and Lois Lane had their son Jonathan Samuel Kent aka Superboy. Jonathan was named for both of his grandfathers. Connor Kent, who is a clone of Superman, was also Superboy. Does a clone that you raise count as a kid? Jonathan and Damian Wayne teamed up and were known as the Super Sons.

Flash: Barry Allen had children with Iris West-Allen, Dawn and Don Allen, aka the Tornado Twins. In the Arrowverse, Barry and Iris had a daughter, Nora West-Allen.

Aquaman and Mera: Arthur Curry had a son with his wife Mera named Authur Curry Jr. He was known as Aqualad or Aquababy. Unfortunately, he was murdered by Black Manta before he could grow up. Andrina Curry is Aquaman and Mera’s daughter on Prime Earth.

Green Arrow: Oliver Queen has a son with Samantha Clayton, William Clayton. With his wife Felicity Smoak, he had Mia Queen. Now mind you, this is mainly from the Arrowverse on the CW. Other sources say that Oliver has a son with Sandra Hawke named Connor Hawke. Connor took up the mantle of Green Arrow. This is from the New Earth AU.

Black Manta: David Hyde had a son with Lucia Hyde, Jackson Hyde, aka Aqualad, and later Aquaman. He partnered with Aquaman Arthur Curry before taking the Aquaman mantle. He is openly gay, which I think is excellent.

Deathstroke: Slade Wilson had a daughter with Lili Worth, Rose Wilson Worth, aka Ravager. With Adeline Kane, which is Slade’s ex-wife, they had two sons, Grant and Joey Wilson.

Did you know any or all of these? Did I miss any of your favorites? Let me know in the comments below. Because I have watched the CW, and my hubby is a comic book nerd, I knew some of these, but some even surprised him. I will say, I thought this article would be a breeze because my husband has a DC Encyclopedia. I was so wrong. At least half of the kids I listed here were not in the encyclopedia. I hope you found out about new kids. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
