World of Warcraft, or WoW for short, has been around for 18 years. It started in 2004; it borrowed a lot from its predecessors but also inspired many imitations that could not stand the test of time. Since its start, WoW has released eight expansion packs.

An expansion pack is just what we nerds like to call huge updates to the game. It usually costs money but the payoff is worth it! Most of the time, it also involves hundreds if not thousands of hours that can be spent on the game.

Winning many awards and nominations, WoW has done it all. Some of the most recent are:

  • Golden Reel Award (Winner) for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing.
  • NAVGTR Award (Nomination) for gaming and franchise role-playing.
  • Golden Reel Award (Nomination) for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing.

It’s not only the songs that the fans come for either. They have also built a cult following around their famous lore. Here are a few reasons why the game has survived the test of time and continues to gain new followers every day:

  1. Leveling

Getting started in the game is easy and straightforward. Progressing from level 1 to 50 is very fast as the game takes a helping-hand approach. If that is not your speed, you can always do your own thing. The choices are endless and there’s little you can’t do in the game.

There are many expansion packs, as stated previously. Don’t worry about missing out. Having the latest expansion pack gives you access to previous ones, which you can access at any time you please. The previous expansion pack levels you up with ease as well, so you can catch up!

Even though the game is user-friendly, you can always change the difficulty when doing dungeons. The newest difficulty is called mythic, which allows you to play with four other players as you work together for a chance to obtain rare items.

If grinding is not for you or you just don’t want to spend the time or energy doing it, then you can always do the Mythic Dungeon Boost. If your question is ‘who does my WoW boost or carry?’ then look no further. It all benefits you, so just sit back and let us do the work for you.

  1. Endless Quests

WoW is known for its endless quests! There are daily quests that should be completed. By completing them, there are chances to get gears, items, or resources that might be beneficial to you. You can always sell them for gold if nothing interests you.

In the game, there’s also a reputation system which is earned by completing quests, killing, or helping certain NPCs. Reputation is important as it allows you to fly later. So if that’s your interest, then make sure the decisions you make will benefit your endgame.

Some quests will give you more reputation than others, but always remember, you are the main hero of the game and you must choose a faction. Your choices can either help you or hurt you, so make good choices.

  1. Raids

Raids are a tougher version of dungeons. Once you’ve completed all the dungeons and want to challenge yourself, this is for you. You can battle difficult bosses that test your abilities to use your class. It also gives you a chance to test your teamwork with friends.

It is more challenging than strolling in and taking out the boss. You will first have to fight the minions and hordes that test your patience and courage. The battles are stacked against you so strategizing is the best way to be victorious. The minions will be boosted, so it will be worth it.

  1. Be a Herbalist

Believe it or not, there’s so much to do in WoW that people forget that it doesn’t have to be all about gaining power. As is the rule in WoW, you must pick a faction to earn a reputation once you leave the starting point.

There is an option of not leaving entirely and just enjoying your time in the starting stage. You get to relax, avoid violence if you choose, and just live a carefree life. There is a legend of a player that has done just that by picking flowers and mining to get his level capped.

Countless quests exist in the game, so we’re sure there are a few thousand that have just what you need for picking flowers and mining. It is your game – you should play it your way. Just remember to stay in the starting area to avoid problems.

These and many more can be used to get the most out of your experience playing WoW. WoW is for everyone, either young or old. There’s something for all ages. Grab a copy and get started already.
