THOSE WHO KILL – DARKNESS from Miso Film on Vimeo.

For the dark and Nordic noir TV enthusiast comes the new intense and gritty Danish crime thriller, Darkness: Those Who Kill to stream exclusively in the U.S. and Canada on Acorn TV starting Monday, October 19, 2020. This Scandinavian Noir drama follows Investigator Jan Michelsen (Kenneth M. ChristensenWarrior) and Profiler Louise Bergstein (Natalie MadueñoFollow the Money) on their hunt for a serial killer after a series of women disappear- combining classical investigation techniques with psychological leads to find the small hidden details that can make them understand the location and motives of the murderer and hopefully rescue their next victim. Constantly moving around in the chilling periphery of a murderer’s view, the duo is spun deeper into the killer’s web as they link the string of cases. Called a “glorious streaming service… an essential must-have” (The Hollywood Reporter), AMC Networks’ Acorn TV is North America’s leading streamer focused on British and international television.

Six months after 17-year-old Julie (Alvilda Lyneborg Lassen, Brothers in Space) was kidnapped on the streets of a Copenhagen suburb late one night, investigator Jan Michelsen (Christensen) is the only one who believes she is still alive. Four women in the past four years have been kidnapped and murdered seemingly by the same perpetrator. To solve the case, Jan enlists the help of serial killer expert Louise Bergstein (Madueño), who has left the world of criminal profiling to work as a therapist for rape victims. That same night, the killer kidnaps yet another young woman, Emma (Tessa Hoder, Rita). Time is running out for the pair to find the culprit and save the girls.

Filled with heart-stopping twists and turns, this captivating and intense drama will not disappoint anyone looking for the next Nordic Noir or October scare to binge.
