The Simpsons are at it again. Just when you thought they couldn’t break anymore records they will be breaking one more very soon.

FXX will be broadcasting a record breaking marathon featuring all 661 episodes of the animated series. The 15-day marathon will begin on Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. EDT which is exactly 30 years to the date and time that The Simpsons premiered on Fox in 1989.

All 661 episodes from the show’s first 30 seasons will be aired in sequence along with The Simpsons Movie that was released in between Season 18 and Season 19.

Academy Award nominated short The Longest Daycare will also be a part of the marathon for the first time in syndication and will air at 11:30 p.m. EDT on Dec. 28 to mark it’s release between Seasons 23 and 24.

The marathon is being called the “Plus+Size Holiday Marathon,” which I imagine is a tongue in cheek way to celebrate the show’s move to Disney Plus.

The marathon will end at 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 31, at which time FXX will air a “Best of the Marathon” marathon beginning with an encore presentation of The Simpsons Movie and The Longest Daycare, followed by the 11 greatest The Simpsons episodes as determined by the series’ creators and viewer usage on FX’s former “Simpsons World” on-demand portal.
