IT: Chapter 2 Trailer Takes The Losers Club Back to Derry

In 2017 the first photo of Pennywise in the big budget Stephen King adaption was released and was met with laughter and criticism. Cut to September with $123 million opening weekend with a total of $700 million and this was no clown or franchise to laugh at.

And now the trailer for Chapter 2 is here to keep you up at night:

Andy Muschietti’s beautiful craft that made the first chapter so suspenseful is on full display with a classic scene from the book of Beverly, played by Jessica Chastain, confronting Pennywise again 27 years later. Grandma legs have never been more terrifying. We also get a few glimpses of James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, and Andy Bean as the rest of the Losers Club and of course Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise. The adult portion of the story has always been trickier to adapt, just watch the 1990 miniseries for a reminder. But if anybody could pull it off it’s Muscheitti and his stacked cast.
