It’s been no secret that the reception to the trailers and ads for The Predator have been lukewarm at best. The first teaser was bland, the 2nd trailer improved ever so slightly. But now the new trailer finally shows the movie I’ve always pictured in my head. Check it out below
This is the Predator movie from the duo who brought use Monster Squad should feel like: a witty sense of humor, juicy gore, and a taste for the outrageous. This is the Predator movie I want. The two major complaints from fans have been the involvement of a child in the story played by Jacob Tremblay (which the ads have seem to ignored after the first teaser) and Shane Black leaning more towards humor. But those two components are exactly why I’m excited for the film: the humor of Shane Black film and the heart of Fred Dekker film.
