The past year has been a wild ride for fans of DreamWorks’ Voltron: Legendary Defender. Last summer at San Diego Comic Con, the first episode of season four was shown during the panel hosted by producers and cast members. This past spring, fans were also lucky enough to view the first episode of season five at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Washington. So, can we predict a pattern and expect a screening of season seven’s premiere episode at SDCC 2018?

It’s a possibility. Past panels have boasted a “first look” at each season of the show, and this year’s SDCC panel is no different. And with the recent announcement via Netflix that season seven will be available to stream on Aug. 10, 2018, it’s very likely that the panel will feature a full first episode of the season. That will mean an excruciating three-week wait for those who cannot attend the panel, but hey! It’s still better than last year’s wait!

Fans attending the panel will also receive an SDCC exclusive poster created by the Voltron crew. If it’s anything like the ECCC exclusive posters created by Christine Bian, fans are in for a real treat!

The Dreamworks Voltron Legendary Defender: A Netflix Original Series panel takes place on Friday, July 20, 2018, in Room 6BCF at San Diego Comic Con. Panelists include executive producers Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, story editor Josh Hamilton and voice actors Bex Taylor Klaus and Rhys Darby.
