When we last left the Harlot girls at the end of Season 1, Charlotte had double-crossed her mother by joining Mrs. Quigley’s bawdyhouse. Margaret was obviously devastated by this betrayal, but little does she know her daughter is seeking out vengeance for her.
With Season 2 set to start, Hulu has released information for season 2 of this explosive series. They have given the following synopsis of this season:
Set against the backdrop of 18th century Georgian London, Harlots follows the Wells family, led by matriarch Margaret (Samantha Morton). When her daughter Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay) places herself in the home of arch-rival bawd Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville), their toxic and deep-set rivalry is taken to a dangerous new level. Meanwhile, alluring and wealthy socialite Lady Fitz (Liv Tyler) is drawn by Charlotte into the plot against Lydia, as well. Inspired by the stories of real women, Harlots is a powerful family drama as explored from the female perspective. The series stars Manville, Brown Findlay, and Morton and hails from the creative team of Moira Buffini, Alison Newman, Alison Owen, Debra Hayward and Alison Carpenter, with Coky Giedroyc returning as lead director and Grainne Marmion producing.

The first two episodes will premiere July 11th with one episode being released every week until August 22nd. In the season 2 premiere, the Justice has made a surprising arrest causing Nancy and Margaret to scramble to find witnesses to give evidence against Lydia Quigley. They REALLY want her to pay for her crimes. Unfortunately, tensions are high as the women rally against the Justice and it comes at a devastating cost for Nancy.
