Bill Nye Saves the World – Season 3 Episode Guide

In the third season of Bill Nye Saves the World, scientist-turned-television personality Bill Nye made the science of daily life binge-able. With the season wrapped up and its episodes reviewed, lets take a minute to reflect on what Nye accomplished this season.

  • Episode 1 – Cheating Death
    • Nye discusses the topic of “Cheating Death” and the truth of the human condition: that every body wears out in order to ensure the cycle of reproduction and evolution that helps the human race to survive.
  • Episode 2 – Surviving the World Without Water
    • Nye discusses the possibility of “Surviving in a World Without Water,” which should sound pretty scary .
    • Get tips on how to survive after the world’s supply of water has run out, including:
      • Look for willow trees. When you see one it means there is water in the ground!

  • Episode 3 – The Addiction Episode
    • Nye discusses one of America’s not-so-silent killers – addiction – in “The Addiction Episode.”  Get to the science and psychology of addiction and what it means for individuals and their daily lives.
  • Episode 4 – Recipes From the Future
    • Nye teaches us about what humans will eat in the future. The future of food includes bugs. Lots of bugs. Enough to make me nervous.
  • Episode 5 – Evolution: The Fact of Life
    • Nye takes an unsurprising stand and pronounces that the theory of evolution is a proven scientific theory.
    • He uses balloons, mosquitoes, and lesser-known personalities to demonstrate how evolution works and why humans care about it!
  • Episode 6 – What is Your Pet Really Thinking?
    • Nye asks the most important question one can possibly pose to modern man and woman. It’s a question that we are all dying to know the answer to: what is my pet thinking?!
