Superstore - Season 3

Trae Patton / NBC

Jonah and Amy continue to bond and fall in love slowly and honestly nothing else matters.

Amy wants a raise but she’s too nervous to ask for one, especially given that she has to go to the new district manager and not Glenn. Jonah is there with her all episode giving her pep talks (and neglecting his girlfriend.) He’s there when she calls the headquarters and even bullies a receptionist for her. Then he stalks her social media and finds out that she’s golfing so he convinces Amy to “run into her” there and casually bring it up. Amy takes him for moral support.

When they get there, they accidentally run over Laurie when they’re trying to pull up next to her because golf carts are impossible to drive and also maybe someone cut Amy’s break wires. They break her arm and after getting a dozen pep talks from Jonah, Amy decides that now is the perfect time to ask for a raise. She obviously doesn’t get one, and spends the rest of the night playing romantic ass golf with Jonah on the course. He forgets all about his plans with the aforementioned girlfriend and they bond over how stupid golf is and drink beer and look into each other’s eyes with heart eyes.

In the B plot, Dina wants the store to sell the most lottery tickets so she tells Garrett that the employee who sells the most gets a 5000$ bonus. Of course that’s a lie, but on the off chance that it isn’t, Garrett goes into overdrive and sells his little booty off. The numbers are read and anti-climatically (but realistically) no one wins,. Not so realistically, the winning numbers are the numbers from Lost, which is hilarious and validates every time I have picked those numbers to try to win something/end up in Hawaii with Josh Holloway!

Thinking that they might win, Mateo and Cheyenne spend the entire episode plotting out what they would do with the 30 million dollars – but Sandra breaks their bubble when she reveals to them that after taxes and everything they would only get about 11 millions, which split in half is ONLY 5.5mill.
