Voltron: Legendary Defender Will Return on March 2nd!

Fans were ecstatic on Tuesday when the official Voltron Instagram account posted a poll about Prince Lotor. Of course, we’re all hyped about Lotor and whether he’s going to be a friend or foe. But the bigger news lay in the bottom right corner of the image that was posted: new episodes of Voltron: Legendary Defender will be available March 2nd, 2018!

This news was dropped shortly after the official Voltron social media accounts confirmed that there will be a panel at Emerald City Comic Con on March 1st. Josh Keaton, Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos will be present at the panel for a sneak peek into season 5. Jeremy Shada will also be present at the convention and will be doing photo-op and autograph sessions.

This is a wonderful way to kick off the convention weekend! A panel featuring some of our fave storytellers followed by the release of another amazing season of Voltron paladins doing Voltron paladin stuff? Hell yeah! And let’s not forget that March 1st is also the day we will be celebrating Shiro’s birthday because he’s a leap year baby. Basically, the entire convention is going to be one big celebration for the birthday boy and I can’t wait!

I will personally be covering everything Voltron at ECCC this year, so it’s no surprise that I was beyond excited to hear about season five! Don’t forget that there is also a Voltron meet-up scheduled for 1:45-2:45pm  on March 1st before the panel — I suspect there will be a lot of Shiro-celebration shenanigans, so you don’t want to miss it!

Follow me on Twitter for updates before and during the convention, and make sure to find me while you’re there!
