Only two months until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns! The show was pushed to a later timeslot, and promised darker material, the first of what was hinted at the San-Diego Comic Con. Let’s take a look at the highlights of what was presented.
- Skye and Ward’s screentest was released. A cute scene written by Joss that never made it into the show, it features the team about to enter a field mission posing as a married couple – but Skye isn’t taking it very seriously.
- Fitzsimmons screentest was also released! The scene, which feels very similar to a scene in F.Z.Z.T., sees Leo and Jemma arguing as the try to figure a way out of a lab before it explodes.
- The season three gag reel is out! If you like to smile, go watch it right now.
- Some story tidbits were hinted – Daisy will have a new love interest now that she is on the run, and Bobbi and Hunter may return in the wake of the cancellation of Most Wanted. Fingers crossed!
- The big reveal at the S.H.I.E.L.D. panel: Roberto Reyes, the newest Ghost Rider, will be on the show portrayed by Gabriel Luna! Robbie will be accompanied by his younger brother Gabe, who is in a wheelchair. Robbie is a mechanic who is possessed by a ghost inhabiting a car he used to enter a street race, hoping to win $50,000. Unlike other Ghost Riders, he uses a muscle car instead of a motorcycle and has a flaming metal mask. Concept art for Robbie was released at the panel after a teaser video, and his iconic car was unveiled on the show floor.
