NBC’s Fall Lineup Gives The Fans What They Want

NBC released it’s Fall TV schedule last week with some surprising changes. First off, fans cried foul when Timeless was cancelled after no word on the series’ fate for weeks. Fans flocked to Twitter in shear panic wondering if it would get picked up by another network. NBC, thankfully, heard the fan’s cries and ended up backtracking it’s statement 24 hours later. There is no exact word on when the second season of Timeless will air, but needless to say, everyone is excited. The most noticeable change in the schedule was the moving This is Us to Thursday to compete with ABC’s TGIT. A lot of people were thrilled for the confirmation and trailer of Will & Grace‘s return this fall. NBC picked up multiple new series, but most of them not appearing until mid season. Mindy Kaling makes her return to NBC as an executive producer in Champions. Nick Offerman and Amy Poleher also make their return to NBC in The Handmade Project.  Both Ellen Degeneres and Chris Hardwick are adding another show to their roster that will also premiere midseason. Finally, Neil Patrick Harris is getting his own show that features children geniuses. Check out the fall schedule below along with the new series descriptions.

Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders

When three suburban moms get tired of trying to make ends meet, they decide it’s time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local supermarket at (toy) gunpoint. But when the manager catches a glimpse of one of them and the loot is far more than they expected, it doesn’t take long for the three best friends to realize the perfect getaway will be harder than they think. From executive producer Jenna Bans (“Scandal”) comes this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little “Thelma & Louise” with a bit of “Breaking Bad.”
