Hello all you book dragons, I am back with more Stuff Your Kindle dates! I knew there would be more this year, so I am happy to let you guys know about the upcoming dates. There seems to be a swarm of them two to three times a year at this point and not just one or two incarnations of it either, which I love. There looks to be a Stuff Your Kindle for major sub-genres of romance, and the others kind of filter where it is the most appropriate. There are also different levels of mystery/thriller Stuff Your Kindle days. It would be the bee’s knees to have other books fall in there too, like cookbooks, non-fiction, kids, spiritual (including pagan spirituality), and different kinds of fiction.
Back to the matter at hand, stuffing your Kindle on the upcoming dates. I will be writing a follow-up article in a couple of weeks to this one because the rest of the info should be updated. I am missing one date and several sites. We, of course, see the usual suspects: romancebooklovers.com, cozymysterybookclub.com, and darkmodebooks.substack.com. Witchy Book Blast is back, which has me excited, but then there is a new Alpha Cinnamon Roll one this season, among others. There just seems to be a bigger list this time around.
In case this is your first time hearing about Stuff Your Kindle Days, you get free books on your Kindle. It’s different than Kindle Unlimited because these you get to keep and they don’t count against the number of books checked out in KU. You can often find the books on KU but it is different, I promise. You won’t find the whole series on sale at the same time, usually, but if there are other books in the series, you probably will be able to keep on reading through KU. The sales start at 12:01 am on the start day and run through 11:59 pm on the end day. Come on, let me get you the list:
Terrify Your Tablet is back. This Stuff Your Kindle Day is all about horror and dark fiction. Last year their event took place on Halloween, which was superb marketing but it sucked for me. Halloween is a holy day for me, my anniversary, and my favorite holiday. Trying to add sitting down with my tablet to do the stuffing, well, it didn’t happen. Thankfully, I can check it out this year because it is on October 3rd. Can be found at: terrifyyourtablet.com.
A romantacy Stuff Your Kindle Day is coming for fantasy romance on October 11th.
A cozy fantasy Stuff Your Kindle Day will be on October 14th.
Stuff With Fantasy is a Stuff Your Kindle Day for all sub-genres will be October 18th -20th.
Romance book blast is one of the largest of the Stuff Your Kindle Days. This one covers a variety of romance sub-genres so you can get a nice sampling. This one is running on October 22nd. It can be found at: romancebooklovers.com.
The Cozy Mystery Book Blast is back too. This one has mysteries, thrillers, and crime. This one is on October 24th. It can be found at: cozymysterybookclub.com.
Halloween Hauntfest is a new one this year and is a multi-genre event. It takes place October 25th– 28th.
Witchy Book Blast returns! This one is for paranormal and urban fantasy and takes place on October 26th. It can be found at: witchybookworms.com.
Alpha Roll Day is for the cinnamon roll alpha book boyfriends. Do you know what that is? It will be on November 15th. It can be found at: alphacinnamonroll.com.
Romance Audio Bookworms is for romance audiobooks and has many sub-genres. It’s November 15th– 16th. It can be found at: romanceaudiobookworms.com.
Dark Mode Books rounds out our list. This is for dark fiction and romance. There isn’t a definitive date, just winter tba, which could be anywhere from the end of October to sometime in December. It can be found at: darkmodebooks.substack.com.
As I said, I will write a follow-up article to this one in a couple of weeks to fill in more information. Which one are you excited for? Hi Andie! As the organizer of Alpharoll Day and the one who coined the term #alpharoll (aka- Alpha Cinnamon Roll) a few years back, I’d be happy to tell you more about the delicious book boyfriends we write 🙂 especially since today *is* Alpharoll Day.
In a nutshell, I created #AlpharollBookBoyfriend back when #alphahole was going strong. Not because I have anything against alphaholes (I’d never yuck anyone’s yum, plus I’m all about versatility in book boyfriends), but because I felt like good guys deserve their own hashtag as well since they’re as alpha as they come in my eyes.
So I took the cinnamon roll and mashed it with alpha.
I think the most distinct feature of an alpharoll is that he values consent and agency of his female counterpart above anything else.
He can be your classic Golden Retriever, a good natured St. Bernard protector, and even grumpy, dominant, overprotective a-hole of a German Shepard. But he’ll never cross those boundaries and always respect the people who deserve respect, especially the woman he loves (or even if he hates her).
