If you missed my last review on Family Guy, you can find it here.
Hi, my friends. It has been a bit since I wrote a Family Guy article. Did you miss me? I unfortunately lost access to Hulu for a bit so I had to stop. Now that I have access again, I thought I would pick it up again. Since it’s been around a year, it’s going to take me a few weeks to catch up but I will get them done. I hope you have fun reading them, I had fun watching the episodes. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
Episode 10- The Candidate:
The guys get on a bird scooter and are taking off to the capitol and Mayor West takes off after them to “round up the strays.” I love how Joe’s legs are flapping in the wind as they drive down the road on a city scooter, it’s not even a moped. When they get back, Mayor West has Cleveland, Quagmire, and Joe are on the horse that Mayor West rides, but there is no Peter. When the others dismount, poof, there’s Peter in an astronaut’s outfit.
Stewie decides to run against Doug for Snack Captain for their preschool class. Brian is going to be Stewie’s campaign manager. Even Chris is helping. Politics in preschool is just as cutthroat as
Episode 11- Love Story Guy:
This is an episode about the love stories of the guys with women, not each other. Unfortunately, it starts with Peter telling all of the guys about Chris breaking up with his blind girlfriend. Then Quagmire talks about his Tom Hanks in Castaway rip-off story, complete with Helen Hunt. Joe is next in his Dirty Dancing rip-off. Finally, there is Peter and his Harry Met Sally, Sleepless In Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, and In The Cut rip-offs.
Episode 12- Old West:
It’s Father’s Day and the wives of Peter, Cleveland, and Joe coordinate a scavenger hunt for them. Quagmire is there too and he is neither a husband nor a father, which surprises me given how much sex he has. While doing the hunt they come across Mayor West waiting to duel his father, Old West, who abandoned the family. Peter brings Old West home and tries to help. The one horse is way over the top.
Episode 13- Single White Dad:
Peter shows Chris Donkey Kong on the original NES much to Chris’s dismay. This inspired them to build the Donkey Kong warehouse outside their house and unfortunately breaks Lois’s foot. She is down for a bit, leaving Peter in charge of the household. At the coffee shop, Peter goes with the misunderstanding that his wife is dead leaving him with the kids and the women go wild for a dad who takes care of his kids on his own. When the wife is “dead”, everyone falls all over themselves to give him free stuff.
Episode 14- White Meg Can’t Jump:
Starting the episode at the high school, Principal Shepherd asks Meg if she wants to be on the basketball team. She almost doesn’t make it but then Peter pissed her off and she nailed it. Later, her game is back to being subpar but Quagmire figures out how to fix her problem. Stewie learns the “truth” about naps. I mean, it isn’t wrong. However, because he doesn’t listen, his mind gets broken.
Episode 15- Adoption:
The episode starts with the Griffins having a nice breakfast and Lois tells them about her dream. Absolutely no one in their family wants to hear about this dream but she keeps going on and on. Later, Lois and the family are having dinner with her parents when they find out her dad’s tanker had an oil spill. To make it go away Mr. Pewterschmidt goes and visits an orphanage and adopts a little girl. I am pretty sure he will “return” her, and so is Lois. She is jealous of Tatum.
I don’t think I will ever not be surprised at the antics of the Griffins, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe. How do they come up with the money for all of their nonsense? They must be multi-billionaires, maybe even trillionaires. All of them. Though, some days I wish I could live in Quahog. It’s gotta be free to live there if the Griffins are any indication, plus there would be endless entertainment if I live on Spooner St.
Have you been keeping up with Family Guy? What are your thoughts? Aren’t they insane? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
