Ever since Freddy Krueger appeared as a DLC character for Mortal Kombat (2011), it has become a tradition for horror characters to join the Mortal Kombat franchise. From Alien, Predator, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface in Mortal Kombat X (2015) to Spawn and Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11, it is expected that at least one horror character with be a DLC for each new Mortal Kombat game, and while none have been announced yet with just Omni-man, Peacemaker and Homelander being announced as Mortal Kombat 1 DLC, you can expect a horror character to be announced soon. Here are just a few I would like to see featured:
Michael Myers (Halloween)

Michael Myers is probably the most likely to appear after Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface. The tall slasher would definitely fit in among the ranks of Mortal Kombat Kontestants
Chucky (Child’s Play)

Mortal Kombat has seen plenty of big hulking fighters who tower over their opponents, so why not go the opposite direction with an evil doll who is a super-small target? If the mechanics of such as small fighter don’t work, why not combine him with Ghostface for a Ferra-torr-like character, with Chucky acting as Ghostface’s carry-on sidekick
Ghostface (Scream)

This one could be fun, especially with the potential to use all of Ghostface’s identities for a fatality. The potential for different skins, including one from the TV series, is there?
Pennywise (It)

Mortal Kombat 11 already had Joker as DLC, so another evil clown might be redundant, but Pennywise is much more than a clown, and while he would probably show up in the game in clown form, his other forms would also be featured.
Hybrid Zombie (Left 4 Dead):
While we haven’t gotten a proper Left 4 Dead game since the second game in 2009, the characters have made other appearances since then. While a typical zombie might not be the best choice for Mortal Kombat, one with the combined abilities of the Smoker, Boomer, Hunter, and Tank-type zombies from the game would be fun. Or maybe featured them all as a bundle tag-team
Alice or Jill Valentine (Resident Evil):

Mortal Kombat could always use some more kick-ass ladies, and Jill Valentine from the Resident Evil games and Alice from the Resident Evil movies definitely fit the bill. They might both be similar to Sonya, but there is enough room for one or both on the roster
Selene (Underworld):

Another bad-ass babe for the lineup. She is a vampire-like the recently announced Nitara, but that shouldn’t stop her from being included as a DLC character
Frankenstein’s Monster:

This one is kind of an out-there choice, but there have been numerous incarnations of the classic characters, so I wouldn’t mind seeing what Mortal Kombat can do with him. While he is mostly portrayed as large, bumbling, and kind of slow, who’s to say a new version who is a better fighter can’t fit in
Werecats (Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island):

While some fans are clamoring for Shaggy to join the Mortal Kombat universe, I think this choice is a better one. Who wouldn’t want to find a werecat? Perhaps they can take a similar approach to the Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2 and allow you to play as multiple versions
Pinhead (Hellraiser):
Another horror icon on par with Jason and Freddy, the DLC could feature both the male and female forms of the Cenobite leader
Jigsaw (Saw):

A more recent horror icon serial killer Jigsaw would fit in well with the Mortal Kombat universe, especially with his diabolical traps.
Stripe (Gremlins)

Much like Chucky, the size of this character could create a problem, but maybe a Gremlin, most likely Stripe, could be introduced as a Kameo character
Cocaine Bear:

This is mostly a joke, but could be a fun Kameo.
Ash (Evil Dead):

Ever since Mortal Kombat first started adding characters from horror franchises, Ash has been a most desired DLC character, and I think it’s time they finally gave in to fan demands, at least in this instance.
What do you think of my choices? What horror character would you like to see in Mortal Kombat 1?
