This year Crunchyroll announced at SDCC 2023 exciting new shows hitting the streaming service in late July. For all of the One Piece fans out there, get ready for three new films and a few new shows on the way. Along with the fitness challenge that took place, fans brought the big Crunchyroll announcement in shape and style, with One Piece bringing the headlines to life.

In honor of One Piece Day on July 22nd, Crunchyroll announced three new films coming to the streaming services. One Piece Film Gold, One Piece Stampede, One Piece Film: Red. For those of you who don’t know or are new to anime, One Piece is one of the giants and longest-running shows on television/ streaming services today. One Piece has been around for more than two decades, and as of two years ago, in September of 2021, it hit its 1000-episode mark. Crunchyroll also announced several new shows Shy: The sudden widespread appearance of “Heroes,” people with supernatural powers who wish only for peace, has drastically transformed the world. In a world where the Heroes of each country work to maintain this newfound peace, the one protecting Japan is a young girl named Shy, who is… cripplingly shy. Fluffy: Midori barely had time to lament having to die that way when a god appeared before her and said, “You will reincarnate in another world and tell me whether you think humans deserve to continue existing there. In return, I will grant you a special power.” Then Midori, hoping to relieve the exhaustion of the harsh life she’d lived, found herself asking… to cuddle cute, fluffy animals.
