We are calling all anime nerds! A one-day event known as Anime Days is taking place at the Anaheim GardenWalk on Saturday, March 4, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Like any other convention, there will be an artist alley with a variety of vendors, food, live performances, a cosplay contest, and an Itasha meetup.
The best part is that admission is free, and by registering online, the first fifty attendees can receive an exclusive event pin.
On the website, you can also find a $35 food vendor ticket for five food items. The curated menu offers options from the restaurants at the GardenWalk such as Pico Smashes, Outlier BBQ, Banh Mi Dealer, Dulce Handcrafted Ice Cream and Ray’s Amazing Pizza.
On the Anime Days California Instagram, they have announced some of their featured stage performers, such as Mirus, a SoCal-based K-pop dance cover team, and Stephanie Yanez, a music artist who was a winner of AX Idol at Anime Expo. Additionally, some artists and vendors have been announced with The Kigu Stop and Kivbui, to name a few.
Information about the cosplay contest includes a set of rules for props and weapons. All costume accessories will be subject to inspection by Security and Event Staff. The winner shall receive a free Disneyland ticket. Attendees must check in at the information booth by 5 p.m., and the contest will be held at 6 p.m. on the main stage.
If you want to be a part of the Itasha meetup in parking structure level P4, there is a signup form on the website. It’s the perfect chance to showcase the anime decor on your car.
A map of the area and all confirmed vendors can be found in the post below.
