Award season is back, and with Covid restrictions taking a backseat, we got to see the celebrities walk the red carpet again. Here is my list of best dressed of the night.

  1. Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown and looked like a mixture of old Hollywood meets the Victorian Era. The look was sexy yet sophisticated, with a low-cut neckline and open back. And historical with the gorgeous brocade fabric and eye-catching bustle. The grayish-blue color made her eyes pop, and she wore minimal jewelry to not detract from the main attraction, which was her dress.

2. Zendaya

Zendaya wore Valentino and gave us drama and sweetness with her full skirt gown and bow accents. She reminded me of a modern-day Audrey Hepburn with the silhouette of her dress and the perfectly coiffed hair with the cute headband to keep her hair off her face. The silver choker finished the look along with dainty stud earrings.

3. Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown and looked like a bronzed goddess. This look was bold with the intricate and structured bustier but flowed gracefully to the floor with the flowing skirt. Long-sleeved gloves have been making a comeback, and I thought her sheer gloves complimented her dress well. And I love her flowing Jessica Rabbit hair. Va va voom!

4. Hoyeon Jung

Hoyeon Jung wore Louis Vuitton, and even though it was a simple silhouette, the texture of the fabric was extraordinary. It looked like a multicolored plaid from far away, but once you got up close, you saw that it was tons of sequins that were sewn on to resemble the plaid pattern. Amazing! It was also a nice touch to add those sequins to her hair as well.

5. Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington wore Elie Saab couture. This look has a lot going on, but it just works. I love the contrast of the white gown with the black tights and shoes. And I thought it was a great idea for her stylist to make her makeup and hair simple, to allow the dress to be the star. With the exaggerated train and feather pom poms.

6. Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield wore Zegna, and he was one of the many men that wore white that night. He pulled it off well and kept it somewhat casual. It’s an effortless look, and he still looks put together, even without a tie. I like that the suit is more off-white and not a stark white, so it compliments his tan complexion.

7. Toheeb Jimoh

Toheeb Jimoh wore Dior, and this was such a unique take on a suit. The sash that closes the front is so inventive, and that pale blue color looks great. I thought it was smart to pair it with light-colored pants and contrast it with dark shoes and a dark dress shirt.
