It is that time of year again, eating and cooking or baking is a big thing right now. If you are anything like me, it is how you show your love. Also, if you are like me you have fandoms that you love. In this series of articles, I am going to show you cookbooks that give you recipes from those fandoms. In this edition, I’m specifically covering Disney-inspired cookbooks.

The great thing about fandom cookbooks is that when I sit down and eat a meal prepared from say the Disney Princess Healthy Treats cookbook, I can picture sharing it with Ariel. This is great whether you are a child eating this or a grown adult. If you have a picky eater, maybe they can help you prepare the food. As a mom of five and babysitter of countless kids, I have had success getting my picky eaters to try foods that are from a fandom they love and they helped make. The babysitting kids would be so proud and want to show their parents.

Disney Princess Healthy Treats ~ Want your kids to eat healthily but they are being stubborn? Disney to the rescue. With more than fifty choices, your kids will want to eat healthy foods made the way the Princesses approve of.

Disney Treats Baking ~ This cookbook has more than forty recipes that Princesses like Ariel, Belle, or Tiana would love. It even has a recipe for a cake that takes inspiration from Belle’s beautiful golden gown.

Disney The Simple Family Cookbook ~ This one has one hundred easy recipes. With dishes like Judy Hopp’s Carrots With Orange and Mulans’s Crispy Crackers, this book looks like a fun way to incorporate healthy foods with fun textures into any family menu.

The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook ~ With one hundred recipes, you can have the taste of Disney no matter where you are cooking. My mouth waters reading some of these recipes. There is Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dogs, The Grey Stuff, and Berry Schmoozies. The book is broken down into the different Disney parks so you get a little bit of everywhere.

The Unofficial Disney Parks Drink Recipe Book~ Put on a Disney dinner party! Between the previous cookbook and this one, you can have a whole Disney park experience at home. You can have Mickey’s Bee Bop Drink, LeFou’s Brew, or an Ice Cream Martini. There is something for everyone here.

The Nightmare Before Christmas The Official Cookbook & Entertaining Guide ~ With more than fifty choices, you can eat like your favorite character from Halloween Town. Recipes like Sally Sweet and Salty Popcorn, Snake And Spider Stew, and Oogie Boogie Bag of Bugs are sure to be a hit. There are recipes from snacks to appetizers, entrees, and desserts. This book even guides you on how to throw a party.

Disney Eats ~ This one has more than one hundred and fifty recipes from breakfast to dinner and of course sweet treats. There are Ariel and Snow White smoothie bowls. I also found cute Sully Jam Filled Treats.

Disney Villains ~ Are you more the Disney villain type than Princess type? Fear not, Disney has you covered here too. From breakfast to dessert and drinks to boot, indulge that wicked appetite. Poison Apples, Painting the Froze Red, and Huntsman’s Pie are just a few of the dishes and drinks you will find.

As you can see whether you are young, or young at heart, deliciously evil or sweetly good, there are dishes and drinks for everyone. You could have a costume party and eat like your favorite characters, or just have a taste of the park. I hope you find some inspiration in these books for your holiday meals. Which book looks best to you? Let me know in the comments below. Until next week…
