You do not want to throw away this shot to see the original Hamilton production! Lin Manuel Miranda announced today on social media that a recording of Hamilton done with the original cast at the Richard Rodgers Theatre is coming only to Disney+ July 3rd. If you didn’t have Disney+ yet, this may be the reason to get it. There is a huge group of people who never have seen Hamilton on stage let alone with the original cast. So the fact that this will be available on Disney+ is HUGE for Broadway! It doesn’t surprise us that it was sold to Disney though. Lin Manuel Miranda has been playing with Disney since he created the music for Moana and Mary Poppins Returns which he also starred in. If you didn’t know he also does musical segments for Sesame Street as well! He’s an all-around family guy so it’s great to share the Hamilton experience with the family. Check out the trailer:
