We open to a young man adding to his skin collection. Next, he is admiring himself nude in the mirror only to be interrupted by a man in black. The one admiring himself is a doppelganger. The one in black wants him to work for him. What he wants is for the doppelganger to become Mousesack so he can get his hands on Ciri.
Geralt is looking for a djinn. He can’t sleep and is really very cranky. He finds the bottle but things go awry when Jaskier tries to take it from him. The djinn is freed and hurts Jaskier. Geralt takes him to a doctor where he is told that Jaskier needs a mage to be cured. When Geralt gets in the house he finds a naked mayor. Then he finds an orgy. Then he finds Yennefer, the mage.

Yennefer is in need of money for “treatments”. She decides to set up a shop for magical solutions. She gets in trouble with the mayor because he wants his due. She allows him to arrest her. Yennefer looks pretty comfortable for having been arrested. Tissaia offers Yennefer a job back at the school. A way out from isolation, all her past forgiven and forgotten. Yennefer sneers at her in response.
Yennefer and Geralt take a bath together. All they did is bathe. Jaskier is already in bed asleep and healing. At Jaskier’s bedside, Geralt figures out that Yennefer wants to control the djinn. Yennefer gives Geralt the nap he desired. Or so he thought. He actually went on a rampage and embarrassed council members. Once freed Geralt goes back for Jaskier and Yennefer.
Ciri is still in Brokilon Forest. The dryads are trying to figure out what to do with her but say she is allowed to stay. She is offered the choice to stay or go.
