It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s October which means it’s almost Halloween! Halloween is my very favorite holiday and is a very spiritual day for me too. In the nights leading up to Halloween I love watching scary movies. Lets get real. I love watching scary movies anytime. The following list is some of the top movies played at my house all October long…

Repo The Genetic Opera is just weird and cool. It is a story of a girl who is very sick. Her mother died years ago. Her father is sick too but of the heart and mind rather than the body. Geneco runs the world. The whole movie is gory and icky with a sick beat and great singing.

Warlock and Warlock Armeggedon stars Julian Sands in both but the premise for both movies is very different. The first the Warlock (Julian Sands) is on the run to escape through time rather than being killed. The Warlock must also put together the Grand Grimore of Satan. If he does this he will be Satan’s unholy begotten son. In the second one, Satan makes good on his promise. This time the Warlock must bring together stones so Satan may come into this world. Modern Druid warriors must stop them. The Warlock movies are great if you love heavy cheese on your movies.

Army Of Darkness and The Evil Dead movies encompasses a lot. Zombies are the deal here and Ash (Bruce Campbell) with his boomstick is called upon to save the world from Deadites. This series have four movies and a TV series that lasted three seasons. This is also great if you like a lot of cheese in the movie or show you’re watching. It’s B movie level at best but fantastic to watch.

The Craft is probably the best witch craft movie there is. It stars Neve Campbell as Bonnie, Fairuza Balk as Nancy, Rachel True as Rochelle and Robin Tunney as Sarah. Skeet Ulrich plays Chris and Christine Taylor is Laura. Bonnie, Nancy and Rochelle made a coven among themselves in a Catholic school. They were all outsiders anyways so this just set them father apart. Their spells were getting them anywhere until Sarah came along. Nancy goes crazy and Sarah finds her strength.
