Don’t you ever wonder what happened again with all the characters which have come by in the many episodes that Gotham has had so far? Many of them were only present for an episode or two and that while some of them had so much potential to be more than ‘just’ an episode filler or a name mentioned a couple of times. But without further ado, here are a couple of characters that you might have forgot existed in season 3.

Valerie Vale (Ep. ‘Better to Reign in Hell…’)
Valerie arrives in Gotham City to uncover the activities of the Indian Hill facility after it got out that they did experiments on humans. Her and Gordon Gordon start to work together, but their trust in each other is not mutual and they betray each other a couple of times. However, when Valerie shows up at Gordon’s apartment and flirts with him, they kiss and it turns into something more. They start a relationship, but Gordon confronts Valerie about separating their work from their relationship, especially since she is so intent on getting to the bottom of the rumours surrounding Alice’s poisonous blood. Later, Jervis Tetch kidnaps both Valerie and Lee and Gordon has to make a choice. Gordon told Jervis to shoot Lee, but Jervis did the opposite and shot Valerie instead. Gordon and Lee rushed Valerie to the hospital, where Mario operated on her. Gordon visited Valerie in the emergency room and broke down at her state. Valerie awoke and made fun of Gordon’s crying and they shared a laugh before he left. He returned and she told Gordon she knew what he did – Gordon told Jervis to kill Lee because he knew that Valerie would get shot instead. She knew that Gordon still loved Lee, which meant that her relationship with Gordon was over. Assumingly she left Gotham and her current whereabouts are unknown.

Mario Calvi (Ep. ‘Look Into My Eyes’)
Mario Calvi is the son of Carmine Falcone and was one of his few kids that didn’t have anything to do with the family business. When Lee Thompkins is in Atlanta to forget Gordon, she meets Mario and they fall in love. After some time the two of them move to Gotham City and Mario gets a job at Gotham General Hospital. There Mario and Gordon meet a couple of times, but they are never really keen on each other. Gordon even shows up uninvited at their engagement party looking for a suspect and Mario tries to fight him for it. After his infection with the Alice Tetch virus, Mario becomes more and more violent at times, but yet Lucius Fox isn’t able to find any trace of the virus in him, later it will turn out that he countered the tests. Gordon shows up uninvited yet another time, but this time at the wedding where he tries to warn Lee about Mario being infected. At the Falcone’s lakeside house Lee reveals to Mario that she loves him, but that she will always care for Gordon. This triggers something inside of Mario and he is ready to kill Lee, but Gordon stops him by shooting him twice in the chest.

Frank Gordon (Ep. ‘Red Queen’)
Frank Gordon is the estranged uncle of Jim Gordon and brother of Peter Gordon who returns to the city after Peter died 25 years ago. He is a member of the Court of Owls. After Jim managed to stop the chaos caused by Jerome Valeska’s resurrection, Frank appears at Jim’s apartment for the first time in years to tell him how his father died. After Frank tells Gordon that the Court of Owls has a weapon from Indian Hill, he shoots himself in the head because he didn’t want to kill his nephew.

The Terrible Tweeds (Ep. ‘New Day Rising’)
The Terrible Tweeds are found by Jervice Tetch and hypnotized to become his henchmen. The brothers assault the GCPD and successfully break Alice out, resulting in two of the brothers being killed and another one of the brothers being arrested. Deever, Dumfree and Jervis escape to an abandoned amusement park with Alice. When Alice is impaled in the stomach after the GCPD arrives, Deever, Dumfree and Tetch have to escape yet again. They also helped Tetch in capturing Lee Thompkins and Valerie Vale and steal Alice’s body back from the GCPD morgue. After Tetch his plan to create the ultimate virus by combining his sister’s blood and the Red Queen plant fails, he and Deever and Dumfree are locked up in Arkham Asylum. Tetch later escapes, but nothing is known about The Terrible Tweeds and their current status after the bridges blew.

Isabella (Ep. ‘Follow the White Queen’)
Isabella is a woman who runs into Edward Nygma at a store where he first mistook her for Kristen Kringle. The two of them fall in love, but their love is always thwarted by Penguin who has a crush on Nygma. Oswald even tells Isabella about Nygma’s past in Arkham, but that doesn’t seem to bother her. Oswald even visits Isabella at her house and tells her to leave him alone, but she refused after realizing his love for Nygma. Isabella finds out about Kristen and even dresses up as her so that Nygma can overcome his fear of also hurting her. Having had enough of Isabella, a jealous Oswald hired his bodyguard Gabe to cut the brake line on her car. When driving down the road and coming to a railroad, she was unable to stop the car and ended up driving in the path of a train, killing her.

Dwight Pollard (Ep. ‘Ghosts’)
Dwight Pollard was a former Indian Hill employee who assisted Hugo Strange in resurrecting the dead and a huge fan of Jerome. He also worked at the Gotham City Morgue where he used the corpses as experiments to test how to bring back the dead. He got into view at the GCPD when a corpse who he brought back to life walked out of the morgue and ended up dead in the city. When Pollard knows that his latest experiment was almost successful, he comes to the conclusion that it is time to resurrect Jerome. While working to revive Jerome, it first appears to be a failure. Pollard proceeds to cut off Jerome’s face to wear as a mask for his Plan B. Persuading Jerome’s Followers that they are Jerome, Dwight leads them into taking a hostage news station as he broadcasts his message. When Jerome is alive, he goes to the news station and takes Pollard hostage.
After Jerome staples his face back on, he doesn’t seem to be mad at Dwight and thanks him for bringing him back. But he wasn’t pleased with his face being cut off and Pollard is killed by the explosives Jerome has placed in the power company.
