Having never been to a Comic Con before last year, I have found out I love them. Last year I was completely overwhelmed by the experience. This year was much easier. I am afflicted with PTSD and so I always bring my “bodyguard” aka my husband AJ. This year I had a second “bodyguard”, my sister-in-law Leslie. We had a blast.
The cosplay was awesome. Some of the outfits were just magnificent. Don’t you worry I have pictures. This year I tried dressing up as one of my favorite characters, Anita Blake. Leslie was Molly Carpenter from The Dresden Files. AJ was going to go as Harry from the same series but we were unable to get the components for the outfit. We did hit the beer garden this year too. We saw wizards and people from Star Wars. We saw aliens and princesses. We saw heroes and villains. There was just so much to see. The merchandise was awesome and artist alley is probably my favorite area. I got to see Mark Monlux again who is a fantastic artist. I got to meet the Poppin Hopper which was too cool. I met Shannon and Andy Parola which was super cool and probably one of the best highlights for me.

Based on your post, it sounds like you had a great time at the Convention! There were so many great cosplays that were featured in your article, that it’s hard to pick a favorite. The wonderful thing about Comic Cons is that it’s a place where creativity is encouraged. From the cosplayers to the artists, it shows how much heart they put into the things they love.
It was a very fun time indeed!
