This right here is how you reboot/revitalize a franchise. I love slashers and the Halloween movies but jeez that timeline was wonky and convoluted. Well, no more only the OG Halloween is cannon. This movie takes Mikey back to the basics even putting him against Laurie again, who is not his sister. Halloween is the perfect ending and new beginning for the story of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. In my opinion this was a perfect slasher movie, keep in mind I grew up on Scream. Halloween is a blast, it’s funny, tongue-in-cheek, meta, brutal, bloody and violent—all the things needed for a slasher movie.
