Ok so this review and next week’s review is going to be a bit different. Side Jobs is still a Dresden Files book but it is a collection of short stories as opposed to being one book being a whole story. I absolutely still loved the book. It was just a little different.
The stories are named as follows:
- A Restoration Of Faith
- Vignette
- Something Borrowed
- It’s My Birthday Too
- Heorot
- Day Off
- Backup
- The Warrior
- Last Call
- Love Hurts
- Aftermath
A Restoration Of Faith takes place before Storm Front. Vignette takes place between Death Masks and Blood Rites. Something Borrowed takes place between Dead Beat and Proven Guilty. It’s My Birthday Too takes place between White Night and Small Favor as does Heorot. Day Off and Back Up both take place between Small Favor and Turn Coat. The Warrior takes place between Small Favor and Turn Coat also but also before Last Call which is the next short story. Love Hurts Takes place between Turn Coat and Changes. Aftermath takes place about an hour or two after the book Changes ends.
The stories are too short to really do a good review on them. You’ll just have to take my word for it and read them. The nice thing is though that I get to see what Harry is up to between books. Some of the books leave a year or more between stories and I know he can’t keep himself out of trouble that long so it’s nifty to see what he does in the interim.
Read them and let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Till next week…
