Westworld season 3 is still long way off. We don’t have a release date or even an anticipated year of return. An educated guess, based on the gap between season 1 and 2, would mean that we’re not going to see new episodes until at least 2020.
This, however, hasn’t stopped tidbits of information from coming out. In September, we learned that Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul would be joining the cast. His enthusiasm for the show is no mystery as was laid bare when he made the announcement on Instagram:
What is still a mystery is what kind of role he’ll be playing. Will he be human or host?
Digital Spy recently spoke with Paul about what’s in store. Of course, the actor couldn’t reveal much about his role but he did talk generally about what fans can expect.
“All I can say is it’s par for the course, what is so great about Westworld is it’s just so inventive and different and dangerous and gory, but this doesn’t shy away from that, this particular new addition. I’m excited to join the team, that’s really all I can say.”
When Paul mentions “this particular new addition,” it’s hard to tell if he’s talking about his character or the season. In many ways his vague answer fits right into the style of Westworld: confusing, possibly misleading but intriguing nevertheless.
With that in mind, what sort of role would you want to see Paul play in Westworld? And what direction do you hope to see the science fiction series head in next? Let us know in the comments below.
