Last year, we received news that the popular animated series Young Justice was officially being revived and fans could not have been happier. The series last aired back in 2013 and since then fans have been gunning for a renewal and making sweeping efforts to make it happen. Now that the show is officially in production, what can we expect to see and hear at this year’s San Diego Comic Con panel?

Young Justice: Outsiders

DC Universe

Writer Greg Weisman confirmed via Twitter that there will be a trailer released during the panel. According to the SDCC panel list, the show follows the YJ team while it “faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on metahuman trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.” Needless to say, the trailer we see will most likely contain some heavier themes than previous seasons and feature some pretty badass scenes.

The panel will feature producers and voice actors from the show, which means that there will be an abundance of behind-the-scenes information that could be revealed. It’s entirely possible that there will be a discussion about the new characters we don’t know much about in addition to the returning characters. Outsiders has recently had its projected release date pushed out to 2019, so I expect the producers will have some words about that and possibly a more targeted date for the season’s release.

The Young Justice: Outsiders Special Video Presentation and Q&A takes place at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018, in Room 6DE at San Diego Comic Con.
