Like you may have guessed today is Tuesday. I almost picked Another WolfCop as the Blu-ray today, almost. I’m not sure how I missed that Blockers was coming out but I did. Anyways Blockers is today’s pick.

Julie, Kayla and Sam are three high school seniors who make a pact to lose their virginity on prom night. Lisa, Mitchell and Hunter are three overprotective parents who flip out when they find out about their daughters’ plans. They soon join forces for a wild and chaotic quest to stop the girls from sealing the deal — no matter what the cost. – Universal Pictures
2018 has been a good year for film, comedies included. With that being said in my humble opinion, Blockers is the funniest movie of the year, at this point in time. The plot is somewhat ridiculous but is certainly a fresh take on the “prom comedy” genre. Blockers has one of John Cena’s best performances. He is a funny guy and when he is given the chance to do comedy he really shines. Blockers packs a hilarious punch but it’ll also hit you with some serious emotion. An over the top raunchy comedy, yes but also a heartfelt movie about a child and parent’s relationship as they grow up. This could certainly be an awkward movie to watch with your family but it kind of is a family movie.
